Daris Jean Brown

October 3, 1934 — April 11, 2014

Daris Jean Brown, 79, of Frederick, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 11, 2014. She was surrounded by family and friends at FMH, Born October 3, 1934, in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late Marion E. Foland and Alice Hildebrand Foland Long. Daris is survived by her daughter, Sherri Lynn Goheen and husband Jeffrey, grandson, Zackary Goheen, brother, Joseph Long and wife Maryanne and nephew, Mark Allen Foland. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Foland and grandson, Michael Goheen. She left behind many wonderful friends who loved her very much especially, Jeanne Easton and Sherri Watkins. Daris loved her flowers, being a homemaker and having friends over for coffee. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8pm, on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701. The funeral service will be held at 1:00PM, on Wednesday, April 16, 2014, in the Etchison Memorial Chapel at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
