Marie L. Cholewczynski

July 17, 1935 — April 20, 2014

Mrs. Marie Lillian Cholewczynski, 78, of Frederick, died peacefully just before sunrise on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Tranquillity of Fredericktowne Assisted Living. Marie was the wife of the late Richard A. Cholewczynski. Born on July 17, 1935 in Baltimore; she was the daughter of the late Boniface George Ritter and Marie Lillian Nieberlein. Mrs. Cholewczynski was a loving wife and mother and a homemaker. She enjoyed reading and crocheting in her spare time, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff at Tranquillity and the staff at Carroll Hospice for all of the compassionate care they gave Marie in the last year of her life. Mrs. Cholewczynski is survived by her children, Laura M. Crampton of Frederick, Michael S. Cholewczynski and wife Lisa of Monrovia, Camilla A. McWilliams and husband John of Cornelius, NC and Nancy A. Pitts and husband Richard of Laurel. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Eric, David, Alexandra, Anna, Brendan, Trevor, Corey, Brittany, Jeanine, Joanna, Steven, as well as great-grandchild Hailey. Marie is also survived by sister Carolyn Domingue and husband Jean of Edgewater and niece and nephew Anne Marie Buccheri and Anthony G. Buccheri and wife Trisha. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 27 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at Keeney and Basford PA Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 28 at St. Joseph on Carrollton Manor Catholic Church, 5843 Manor Woods Road, Frederick, MD 21703. Interment will be in Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens, 200 East Padonia Road, Timonium, MD 21093 on Monday April 28 at approximately 12:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Wilmer Eye Institute in Marie's memory: The Wilmer Eye Institute, Wilmer Development Office, Wilmer 112, 600 North Wolfe Street, Baltimore, MD 21287-9015 or online at http://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/wilmer/charitable_giving/why_give.html
