Wanda Lee Seitler, 63, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, April 13 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Born December 31, 1950, she joins her family, Irma Bates Herbst, Ralph Herbst and her beloved brother Michael J. Herbst in Heaven. She is the last of her immediate family. Wanda was a graduate of Gov. Thomas Johnson High School and after graduating, worked 33 years for the Matan Family businesses, as a Receptionist/Administrative Assistant. She was an asset to the company and was loved by her co-workers. She was a member of the Frederick Church of the Brethren. She loved music and loved to dance. Of course, for anyone who knew her, Elvis was her favorite. She was very knowledgeable of his life statistics and had many artifacts in remembrance of him, and visited Graceland many times. Wanda was a wonderful and caring person and was very friendly to everyone. She had a bubbly personality and was loved by all. Ms. Seitler will especially be remembered by her personal friends, her Karaoke buddies, the patrons and personnel at the Mountainview Diner and her computer friends. She will be greatly missed by her little baby dog whom she loved dearly, "Millie". She will also be remembered by her relatives locally and in Virginia, West Virginia and North Carolina. Wanda was very congenial and personable and would talk to most anyone, so therefore she will be missed by too many to mention. Wanda will finally have her biggest wish fulfilled - she will get to be with Elvis. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 24 at 1:00 PM at Keeney and Basford PA Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. A visitation will be held from 12:00 until service time. Wanda had many four-legged, furry friends in her life and her wishes would be to make contributions to Pets-4-Pets Cat Rescue, Inc., Pres. Charlotte Weller, PO Box 350, New Market, MD 21774 or to the Frederick Animal Shelter. Also, memorials in her name may be made to Frederick Church of the Brethren, 201 Fairview Avenue, Frederick, Maryland 21701.
