Mary Kay Kirk, 55 of Middletown, Maryland passed away on Friday, April 25, 2014 at the University of Maryland Hospital, Baltimore. She was the devoted wife of 25 years to Denny Boyland. Born on September 3, 1958 in DuBois, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of George M. and Lois M. Kirk. Mary Kay worked for Giant Food as a point of sales associate for 36 years until her retirement. She also worked for 12 years, with the James G. Davis Construction Corp in Rockville. Mary Kay loved life and lived it to the fullest; she had a love for beach and had a great love of St. John U.S.V. I. and Kauai and enjoyed many trips there with Denny. She enjoyed riding her HD motorcycles and spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews which were her passion. In addition to her parents and Denny, she is survived by her brother, Mike Kirk; sisters, Tina Outten, Lisa Sichert and husband Sid, and Melissa Betson; siblings-in-law, Steven Boyland and wife Kathy, Dawn Long and husband Kenny, Dave Boyland and wife Ellen, Barbara Boyland, Lisa Glazier, Doug Boyland and wife Carole, Karen Parker and husband Ed and Jennifer Bartolomeo and husband Joe and her 23 nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 1, 2014 from 6-9pm at the Holy Family Catholic Community, 7321 Burkittsville Road, Middletown, Maryland 21769. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 2, at 10 AM at the church. Rev. Msgr. Robert J. Jaskot will officiate. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Silver Spring, Maryland.
