Lois Eileen Hackley

March 10, 1948 — April 30, 2014

Mrs. Lois E. Hackley, age 66 of Frederick, passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at College View Center, Frederick. She was the wife of Kenneth J. Hackley, Sr. of Middletown. Born on March 10, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Dolly Anna Travis. Mrs. Hackley loved playing cards, watching sports particularly the Orioles and Ravins, listening to Elvis Presley and watching horror movies. Mrs. Hackley loved people for who they were and most of all she loved her family particularly her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Hackley is also survived by her children, Kenneth James Hackley, Jr. and wife Robin of Walkersville, John A. Hackley and wife Angie of Smithsburg, and Diane L. McCulley and her husband Mark of Middletown, 14 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers, a sister, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one child, David W. Hackley, a grand child, Ryan J. Hackley and 3 brothers. Friends will be received on Friday, May 2, 2014 from 2-4 and from 6-9 PM at the Keeney & Basford P.A. Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick where services will be held in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 11 AM. Rev. Jimmy Jones will officiate. Casual attire is encouraged. The interment will follow at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
