Mrs. Mary Ruth Lenhart, 87, of Frederick, died on April 30, 2014 at Kline Hospice House, Mount Airy. She was the wife of the late Russell Lenhart. Born on January 24, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Joines and Sarah Lula Joines. Mrs. Lenhart attended school in Jonesboro TN and Frederick MD and was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church. She was an extremely hard worker all her life, and worked several different jobs before finally retiring from Frederick Custom Printing in 1998. Upon her retirement, she enjoyed taking part in church functions at Calvary, gardening, sitting on her back porch and spending time with family. Ruth was a member of the American Legion Francis Scott Key Post 11, Frederick AmVets Post 2 and Frederick Chapter 347 Women of the Moose. She is survived by grandsons Russell McCrossin and wife Deborah, Travis Furr and wife Katy, great-grandchildren Justin, Maggie, Jack and Skylar and sisters Gladys Molesworth Smith and Lucy Loun and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth "Sara" McCrossin Young, sisters Mildred Gladhill, Pauline Graybeal and Frances Bailey and brothers James Joines, Bill Joines, and Frank Joines. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 5 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick where a funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation at 12:00 PM, Pastor Eliezer Valentin-Castanon officiating. Interment will be in Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery (Kemptown). Serving as pallbearers will be Russell McCrossin, Travis Furr, Michael Easterday, Kevin Whaples, John Joines, Justin Shanholtzer, Lonnie Darr and Dwayne Runkles. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Frederick County, PO Box 1799, Frederick, MD 21702 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
