Mr. Jerry Allen Martin, 50, of Frederick, died suddenly on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at his residence. Born February 10, 1964, in Columbus, GA, he was a son of the late Clinton Lloyd Martin, Sr. and Pauline Elizabeth Hoffman Martin. Jerry worked as a licensed practical nurse with Community Living, Inc., of Frederick, and was an avid fisherman as well as a compassionate animal lover and enjoyed the time he spent with his Chihuahua, "Willie. He also loved dancing, music and the artists, Whitney Houston and Martina McBride. Jerry was known for his infectious sense of humor and loved people, friends and socializing. He is survived by his brother, Dennis Lee Martin and wife, Leslie Drake Martin, of Frederick; sister, Wanda Jean Martin, of Woodsboro; half-brothers, Harvey and Lamar Martin, of Georgia; a devoted cousin, Toni Zepeda; two nieces and several great-nieces and great-nephews. He is also remembered by very special friends John Walker, Philip Stoll, Jr, and Chris Seale. He was preceded in death by a half-brother, Clinton L. Martin, Jr. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9pm on Tuesday, May 6 at the Keeney and Basford P.A. Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick.
