Mrs. Shirley Ann (Wills) Freed, 76, of Frederick, died Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at Washington Hospital Center. She was the wife of the late Richard Freed, who preceded her in death in 2007. Born April 3, 1938, in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late John Wills, Sr. and Dorothy (Schultz) Baker. Mrs. Freed was survived by her children, James Warnick, Hope Smith and husband Allen, James Maynard and wife Amanda and Kelly Freed Tobery, grandchildren, Joshua Warnick, Jasmin Warnick, Michelle Riggs and fiancé Brandon Mercer, Michael Stottlemyer, Nichola Maynard, Amber Maynard and Gary Duvall Jr. and wife Sharon, great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Riggs, step-father, James Baker, siblings, John Wills Jr., Tom Wills, Warren Baker, Rodney Baker, Debbie Cline and Millie Plunkard and special lifelong friend, Janice Calhoun. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7pm, on Monday, June 23, 2014 at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701. The funeral service will be held at 1:00PM, on Tuesday, June 24,2014, in the Etchison Memorial Chapel at the funeral home. Rev. Dave Albertson will officiate.
