Mrs. Winifred Wheeler O'Neill, 99, of Frederick, formerly of Baltimore, died Sunday, June 22, 2014 at Record Street Home, Frederick. She was the wife of the late James Patrick O'Neill, Jr. who preceded her in death in 1985. Born February 21, 1915 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Margaret (Siems) Wheeler. She is survived by her children Patrick O'Neill, Michael O'Neill (Margaret Thompson), Peggy O'Neill (Kent Briddell), Kevin O'Neill and Katy O'Neill (John Hutton), grandchildren Bradley Borneill, Laine Briddell (Ben Kopp), Blake Briddell, Dane Briddell (Annie Driscoll), James O'Neill (Ashely Jones), Colin O'Neill (Danny LeClere) and Kelly O'Neill. Arrangements are being made by Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701. A tented outdoor celebration of Winnie's life will be held at Mrs. O'Neill's daughter's house at 8002C Dollyhyde Road, Mt. Airy, MD 21771. Inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. O'Neill's memory to, Record Street Home, 115 Record Street, Frederick, MD 21701.
