Samuel Luke Rohrer

September 8, 1950 — June 24, 2014

Mr. Samuel Luke Rohrer, age 63 of Frederick passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at the University of Maryland Hospital. Born on September 8, 1950 he was the son of the late Harold and Helen Rohrer. Mr. Rohrer was a plumber by trade, working for 30 years. In his free time he enjoyed helping his friends and neighbors, repairing small engines and most of all, loved his '72 Nova. He was the unofficial mayor of the 400th block of Heather Ridge Drive. He is survived by "daddy's little girls", Shawn Marie Rohrer and Samantha E. Jenkins. He was the grandfather of one special granddaughter, Ashley Nicole Jenkins. He is also survived by the mother of his daughters Gloria J. Rohrer. Mr. Rohrer is preceded in death by a special son-in-law Kevin W. Jenkins and his previous girlfriends Brenda Smith and Donna Snyder. He will also be missed by his beloved dog Sadie. Friends will be received on Friday, June 27, 2014 from 2-4 and from 6-9 PM at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick, MD 21701 where services will be held in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 11 AM. Rev. Timothy S. May, Sr. will officiate The interment will be private. Contributions may be made in Mr. Rohrer's name to the funeral home at the above address.
