Marie Haller

November 21, 1923 — June 24, 2014

Mrs. Marie Botzum Haller, 90 of Frederick, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the loving wife of 27 years to George W. Haller III. Born on November 21, 1923 in Heidelberg, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late John Warren and Flossie May (Wolfe) Stiely. Mrs. Haller worked as the executive secretary at Johnson & Johnson in the baby products division in Silver Spring, Maryland until her retirement. She was a member of the Frederick Presbyterian Church and a member of the Eastern Star, Reading Chapter #251 in West Reading, Pennsylvania. She also enjoyed sewing. In addition to her husband, she is survived by sister-in-law Margaret G. Stiely, one niece and several nephews. Mrs. Haller was preceded in death her parents, brothers, Warren Wilson Stiely, Clement John Stiely, Irvin William Stiely and Gordon Elias Stiely; and niece, Caroline Sue Turner. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 29, 2014 from 6-8 pm at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick. The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 30, at 1 pm. Reverend Judy Johnson will officiate. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Frederick.
