Franklin Nelson Weller

October 11, 1948 — June 24, 2014

Franklin Nelson Weller, 65 of Frederick, Maryland passed away on June 24, 2014 at his home. He was the husband of the late Mary Katherine Weller. Born October 11, 1948 he was the son of the late Franklin Thomas and Eva Virginia Weller. Franklin was retired from the Frederick County Public Schools as a custodian. He also worked as a small engine mechanic and as a truck driver. He was a member of Ijamsville United Methodist Church and the Frederick Elks Lodge. He is survived by his son, Frank M. Weller of Frederick; grandson, Franklin C. Weller; brother, Roy L. Weller and wife Deann of North Carolina; sister in law, Mary Catherine Weller of South Carolina; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Frederick T. Weller and sister, Ruth Houck. Friends will be received on Sunday, June 29, 2014 from 3-5 & 7-9 pm at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick. The funeral service will be on Monday, June 30 at 10 am. Family friend, Reverend Stephen Cannon will officiate. Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ijamsville United Methodist Church, in c/o the church treasurer, 2904 Roderick Road, Frederick, MD 21704.
