James Bingham

March 24, 1941 — July 12, 2014

Mr. James Edward "Jim" Bingham, 73, of Berryville, VA, passed away to be with the Lord, Saturday, July 12, 2014 at his residence. He was the husband of Doris Jean (Shifflett) Bingham, whom he lived in Mary Hardesy House with for 2 1/2 years. Born March 24, 1941, in Frederick, he was the son of the late James Roscoe and Charlotte (Rice) Bingham. His hobby was to buy new cars. In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by his step-sons, Cleveland Shifflett Jr. of Aldie, VA and Howard Shifflett of Sterling, VA, step-daughters, Evonda Williamson of Winchester, VA and Juanita Sower of Woodstock, VA, nephews, Bill Wyatt and David Wyatt, special friends, Ralph Wyatt, Bobby Miller, Howard Frye and Dickie Moss. Also, he was survived by his companion Zeus, who will be with him forever. The family will receive friends from 11am to 1pm, on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5 E. Main Street, Burkittsville, MD 21718. The funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00PM at the church. Rev. Kimberly Nunberg will officiate. Interment will follow at Middletown Reformed Cemetery.
