Mr. Robert Elden "Bob" Testerman, 75, of Mt. Airy, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 2, 2014, at the Kline Hospice House, due to complications from Parkinson's disease. He was the loving husband of Connie Heck Testerman, his high school sweetheart, they were married on October 5, 1960. Bob was born on October 23, 1938, in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, and was a son of the late Henry K. and Doris Buhrman Testerman. Bob Grew up in Foxville, MD, in the house built by his late grandfather, Elden E. Buhrman. Bob attended elementary school at the one room school house in Foxville. He graduated in 1956 from Thurmont High School. After two years of college, he enlisted in the United States Navy and served six years in submarines. He was stationed aboard the USS Nautilus submarine. After attending Nuclear Power School, he was stationed aboard the USS Lafayette SSB (N) SSB 616 submarine during the Vietnam War. He retired from AT & T Company after 25 years of service. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of Frederick County and served as treasurer for several years. He was also a member of the Francis Scott Key America Legion Post # 11, and the Tri County Baptist Church, Damascus. Bob enjoyed riding his Honda Goldwing motorcycle, especially cross country with his wife, and traveling most of the United States in their motor home. In addition to his wife he is survived by his two sons, Robert Page Testerman and wife Lori, of Sabillasville and Patrick Charles Testerman, of Mt. Airy, two grandchildren, Justin Heck Testerman and wife Hollie, of Greencastle, PA, Cassandra Page Testerman and fiancee, Tom Shank, of Hagerstown, three great grandchildren, Skylar O'Brian, Alexus Nicole and Amya Justina Testerman, one sister, Sara C. Hurley and husband Donald, of Sabillasville, sister-in-law, Sally H. Rice and husband Mark, of Frederick, Also surviving are three nephews and their families, his God daughter, Patricia A. Davis and husband Douglas, of Jefferson, and his God son Matthew Meitzler and fiancee, Duchdy Meng and son Kobi. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., on Monday, August 4, 2014, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, August 5, 2014, in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. The Rev. Charles Callis, will officiate. Interment will be in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Tri County Baptist Church, P. O.
