Maxine Patricia Ergler

Maxine Patricia Ergler, 62, of Jefferson, MD, passed away from a lengthy battle with cancer, Friday, August 8, 2014 at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick, MD surrounded by her loving family. Born March 17, 1952 in Pottsville, PA she was the daughter to the late Salvador and Irma Rizzardi Leone of Branchdale, PA. She grew up in Branchdale, PA. She graduated from Minersville High School in Minersville, PA in 1970. She worked at Boscov's Department Store in Frederick, MD as a department area manager for the last ten years, retiring in May 2014. Prior to 2004, she also worked as a department manager at Montgomery Wards and Target, both in Frederick, MD. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Community in Middletown, MD. She dedicated her time as a Cantor and a Greeter. She enjoyed strolls on the beach and searching for sea shells in the sand. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family and friends. She had a zest for life and always had a smile on her face. She had a kind heart and a caring soul. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was truly an angel on Earth and is now an angel in heaven. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, David F. Ergler; daughter Michelle Cunningham and husband, Eric, of Prairie Village, KS; daughter Stephanie Cline of Alexandria, VA; son Matthew Ergler and wife, Wendy, of Mechanicsburg, PA; son Eric Rodnick, and wife, Stacy, of Eldersburg, MD; daughter Melissa Yon, and husband, Jeremy, of Plympton, MA; daughter Larissa Coyle, and husband, Thomas, of Martinsburg, WV; and eight grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Salvador Leone Jr, and Michael Leone Sr. The family will receive friends at Holy Family Catholic Community, 7321 Burkittsville Road, Middletown, MD, on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 from 6 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 10 AM at Holy Family Catholic Community, Middletown, MD with Msgr. Robert Jaskot, celebrant. Interment will be in the Christ Reformed United Church of Christ, 12 South Church Street, Middletown, MD.
