Mr. Robert Lee Smith, age 51 of Lime Kiln peacefully went to be with the Lord surrounded by his family on August 18, 2014. Born on September 8, 1962, he was the son of the late Charles R. Sr., and Ethel L. Smith. He worked for many years for Valley Concrete and Cornelle Const. He had a love of NASCAR, and his favorite driver was #88 Dale Earnhart, Jr. and his beloved dogs puppy and lady. He is survived by his fiancé Margie Coeburn, two daughters Jessie Brodnax and Kirsten Smith, one granddaughter Tandra Brodnax and son-in-law William Brodnax. He is also survived by his six sisters and two brothers, Florence Beachley and husband Gene of Brunswick, Becky DeGrange of Frederick, Jenny Boone and husband Wayne of Lime Kiln, Janet Linton and husband Butch of Frederick, Jerry Webb and husband John of Knoxville, Charles R. Smith, Jr. and wife Mary of Adamstown, Terry Smith and special friend Robin Graeves of Lime Kiln and Bonnie Hunter and husband Butch of Buckeystown along with many nieces and nephews. He will also be remembered by a special aunt Louise Smith and close friends Bill Fraiser, Cliff Bowers and Bobby Scott. He was proceeded in death by a brother-in-law Paul DeGrange, Sr. a niece Barbara Shankle, a nephew Ronnie DeGrange and a cousin Sammy Divel. Friends will be received on Friday, August 22, 2014 from 6-9 PM at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick where services will be held in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 10 AM. Pastor Jeffrey Shaw will officiate. The interment will follow at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
