Baby Colton Bentz, of Frederick, was born on August 24, 2014 passed away unexpectedly on August 26th at John Hopkins Hospital in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. He was the son of Todd and Lauren (Chrisman) Bentz. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his siblings, Brantley Bentz, Jordyn Bentz and Lexi Bentz; his maternal grandparents, Gretchen and Marvin Chrisman Jr.; paternal grandparents, Genia and Donald Smith; maternal great-grandparents, Mary Anne and Robert Green; paternal great-grandparents, Elwood Baugher, Susie Baugher and Gene Baugher; Aunts, Katelyn "Auntie Kate" Chrisman and Karen Baugher. He preceded in by sister, Kaylee Bentz. Colton will enter the Golden Gates of Heaven and will be received by his loving family that has gone before until his mommy and daddy get there. The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick. The funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. Interment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery. The family requests the omission of flowers and requests that donations be made in Colton's honor to the Frederick Memorial Hospital NICU in the form of funding or care essentials for newborns such as clothing, lotion or other necessities.
