Mr. George Washington Horman, 102, of Frederick, died Monday, September 8, 2014 at Dove Hospice House, Westminster. He was the husband of the late Helen Belle (Scott) Horman and Helen Louise (Hood) Horman. Born April 6, 1912, in Urbana, he was the son of the late George William and Mary (Zimmerman) Horman. George is survived by his son, Louis "Randy" Horman and wife Marylou, daughter, Nancy Haines and husband H. "Millard", grandchildren, Daniel Horman, Georgia Gray, Adam Horman and George David Horman and 5 great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Dawn Ellen Horman. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm, on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701. The funeral service will be held at 11:00AM, on Thursday, September 11, 2014, in the Etchison Memorial Chapel at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
