Kathleen Virginia Mae Cecil (née Andrews) died Thursday, September 18, 2014. She was born in Frederick, Maryland on March 19, 1928, and lived there her entire life. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, William E. Cecil Sr.; her brothers Robert L. Andrews, Thomas E. Andrews, Charles M. Andrews; and her sister Betty J. Tregoning, all of Frederick. She is also survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Malinda Derr Cecil of Salisbury, MD; and her niece Kay Cecil Fritz, and her great-niece Ramona Cecil, both of Frederick. She leaves behind her beloved cat, Cheerio, who provided her with years of comfort and affection. She was a proud grandmother of Jessica K. Cecil, Christopher M. Moser, Jacob A. Cecil, Eli J. Cecil, and Caitlin E. Cecil LaComb. She recently celebrated the birth of her first great-grandson, Ezra George Cecil, and was excitedly awaiting the birth of her second great-grandson in November. She is preceded in death by her father Walter Stanley Andrews, her mother Loretta Virginia Andrews (née Kefauver), brothers Franklin R. Andrews, Walter L. Andrews; sister Mary L. Tregoning; and her loving daughter Kathy Lynn Moser Jordan. Kathleen was a homemaker, seamstress, farmwife, loving grandmother, and friend to many. She had been employed at Sagner Clothing Factory as a seamstress for many years, and continued to work after retirement, making additional friends while working at K-Mart. The family will receive friends at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, Frederick, MD, on Monday, September 22nd from 6pm - 8pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday September 23rd at 11am and will be presided by Pastor Howard Ruley, of Parkway Community Church. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
