Alonzo Irving Morgan

Mr. Alonzo Irving "Lonnie" Morgan, 47, of Cumberland and formerly of Frederick, died on Friday, September 19, 2014, of heart complications. Born in Frederick on April 22, 1967, he is the son of Faye Roberta Morgan, of Frederick. As a young man he was employed by a local wooden truss company, where he was a very proficient press operator. Following a severe car accident he was in constant pain and unable to return to full time employment. He took up painting pictures and posters and enjoyed sharing them with his family, friends and medical staff members. Surviving in addition to his mother is one aunt, Starr Fitez, cousins, Starlett Leatherman, R. Scott Fitez, Tori and Case Koehl. He will also be missed by several good friends. He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, Robert and Naomi (Betty) Morgan and great aunt, Virginia Baker Harrison. Funeral services and interment will be private. Arrangements are with the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his memory to, Humane Society of Frederick County, 5712-D Industry Lane, Frederick, Maryland 21704.
