Mr. Clarence Arthur Fisher, Sr., 75, of Frederick, died on Monday, October 6, 2014, at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the loving husband of 55 years to Pegge McCorkle Fisher. Born in Finleyville, PA on August 13, 1939, he was a son of the late Raymond and Elizabeth Williams Fisher. Clarence graduated from Elizabeth High School in Pennsylvania in the class of 1957. He moved to Maryland in 1963 making his home in Frederick for the past 42 years. He attended a four year Electrical Apprenticeship and later became a Master Electrician while working out of Local Union # 24, IBEW Baltimore, where he retired in 2001. He was a devoted family man and was extremely proud of his sons and grandchildren. He enjoyed playing golf, loved playing cards and wintering in Myrtle beach, SC, and spending time at the Frederick Elks with his many friends. After his retirement he had worked at Clustered Spires Golf Course which he enjoyed and had made many friends. He loved his pet Corky. Surviving in addition to his wife are his two sons, Clarence A. "Scat" Fisher, Jr., and Kathy, of Frederick, and Scott W. Fisher and Kelly, of Middletown, one sister, Carolyn F. Kelley and Marshall, of Linesville, PA, five grandchildren; Calvin, Ryan, Carly, Connor and Lucas, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard M. Fisher. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, October 10, 2014, in the mausoleum chapel of the Mount Olivet Cemetery, 515 South Market Street, Frederick. Private entombment will follow the service. The Rev. Dr. Eric Myers, pastor of the Frederick Presbyterian Church, will officiate.
