Mrs. Elsie Jane (Klein) Clayton, 83, of Frederick, died Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Thomas Richard Clayton. Born March 3, 1931, in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late Sylvester and Elsie Klein. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Thomas Clayton and wife Susan, Karen O'Maille and husband Michael, Kathleen Gustafson, James Clayton and wife Denise and Mary Sue Ercoli and husband Peter, 20 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, sisters, Mern Guest, Joyce Bell and Joan Swick, daughter-in-law, Margaret Clayton Brasko and husband Bob. Elsie was preceded in death by her son, David Patrick Clayton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00PM, on Friday, October 24, 2014, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 118 E. 2nd Street, Frederick, MD 21701. Father Hector Mateus-Ariza will officiate. Interment will be held at a later date in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Canonsburg, PA.
