Randy Joe Wells, 24 of Frederick and Rhode Island, died on Wednesday, October 22, 2014. Born in Rockville on January 4, 1990, he was the son of Richard C. and Nancy Scheuch Wells, of Frederick. Randy was working as a Community Based Therapist In providence, RI. He was a graduate of Linganore High School class of 2008, while in high school he played Lacrosse for four years. Prior to those four years he played Lacrosse for several local clubs and would play for those clubs during the summer as well, due to the fact that Lacrosse was a passion for him. Earlier in his growing years, he followed many other sports such as, baseball, basketball, soccer and even tried a little of football for Walkersville and a year for Linganore . Randy enjoyed music and played several instruments, loved to travel and another great passion was photography and also cars. Especially Volkswagens, and enjoyed skiing every chance he had he would go to ski liberty and even spent time in Colorado where he learned how to remodel cars and had a chance to do a bit of skiing. Randy started riding horses at the age of 2 and was quite an accomplished rider and instructor. He helped for several years with a riding camp held at his farm and with therapy for young children and adults that had fears of large animals. Randy also enjoyed cooking and worked in many of the local restaurants to learn the inner workings and recipes to possibly follow another passion. Surviving in addition to his parents is one brother, Keith Allen Wells, one sister Stacy J. Bennett of Damascus, two nephews, Richard W. Wells, and C.J. Bennett, many uncles and cousins. He will also be remembered by his girl friend, Sarah Zananski of New York, and best friend, Jess K Ramsay, of Rockville. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p. m., on Tuesday, October 28, 2014, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. A Celebration of his life will be held at 10 a.m., on Wednesday, October 29, 2014, in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. The Rev. Randy Gilliam, pastor of Barnesville Baptist Church, will officiate. Interment will be in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
