Mr. Ralph Emerson Huffman, Jr., 69, of Myersville, died Sunday, October 26, 2014. He was the husband of Bonnie (Miller) Huffman. Born June 15, 1945, in Charleston, WV, he was the son of the late Ralph and Iona (Nichols) Huffman, Sr. Ralph served in the US Army from 1966 until 1972 during the Vietnam War. He was a computer systems engineer retiring from Northrop Grumman. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Melissa Huffman, son, Ralph Huffman III and wife Julie, grandchildren, Audrey Anderson, Channa Luke, Olivia Marie Luke, Ralph Huffman IV and Trevor Huffman, brother, Randolph "Buzz" Huffman and wife Sharon, sister-in-law, Delores Huffman, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brother, Rodger Huffman. The family will receive friends from 2 to 5pm, on Friday, October 31, 2014, at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701. A memorial service will be held at 11:30AM, on Saturday, November 1, 2014, at the Peoples Baptist Church, 6648 Carpenter Rd., Frederick, MD 21703. Dr. Kent Ramler will officiate. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Peoples Baptist Church at the above address.
