Rodney Langdon

Mr. Rodney Olen Langdon,59, of Frederick, died Sunday, November 2, 2014, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He is the husband of Sandra Jane "Sandy" Langdon, who were married on Nov. 9, 2006. Born January 10, 1955, in San Antonio, TX, he is the son of Nelson and Lorraine (Smith) Langdon. Rodney was a graduate of Middletown High School Class of 1973. He was employed at Kline L.L.C. as a truck driver for 7 years. Rodney was an Eagle Scout and a member of Myersville Fire Co., Wolfsville Fire Co., AmVets (Middletown), American Legion (Woodsboro), Moose Lodge #371 (Frederick), Life member NRA, and Catoctin Fish & Game. In addition to his wife and parents, Rodney is survived by his twin brother, Randy Langdon, sisters, Robin Ward and husband David, Regina Umberger and husband Jim, niece, Jenna Umberger, nephew, John Umberger, step-sons, Dwayne Ausherman and wife April and Kevin Ausherman and wife Amy. The family will receive friends from 3 to 7pm, on Thursday, November 6, 2014, at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701. The funeral service will be held at 10:00AM, Friday, November 7, 2014, in the Etchison Memorial Chapel at the funeral home. Rev. James Peyton and Rev. R. Thomas Fralin Jr. will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wolfsville Fire Dept., 12464 Wolfsville Rd, Myersville, MD 21773
