Jacqueline Schmidt Leger, 83, of Frederick, Maryland and formerly of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2014 at Frederick Memorial Hospital with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Billy M. Leger. Born on May 26, 1931, in Louisville, she was a daughter to the late Edward Frank and Elizabeth Redford Schmidt. Jackie was a homemaker and served in Lynnview as the Mayor and tax collector as well as being an election official. She was very active in the PTA and was granted a life time membership. She enjoyed reading and tending to her garden. She is survived by her four children, John M. Leger and wife Sophie, Charles P. Leger, Janet S. Wolfe and husband Richard, and Ann J. Muolo and husband Paul; her grandchildren, Michael Wolfe, Jessica Wolfe, Sherry Muolo and Katherine Muolo; and her sister, Janet Rowe. Services will be held in her hometown of Louisville and interment will be in Cave Hill Cemetery.
