Mrs. Nellie B. Draper, 92, of Frederick, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at the Northampton Manor Health Care Center. She was the wife of 55 years to the late E. Leon Draper, who died in 1998. Born in Harmony on August 2, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Sarah Lutz Rohrer. Nellie was a stay at home mom prior to working for the Maryland School for the Deaf as a house mother in the late 60's and early 70's. She was a member of the Grace United Church of Christ, Frederick and she loved to play bingo and entertain everyone with her jokes. Surviving are her children, Joan Bealer, of Gapland, Randal Draper and wife Denise, of Mt. Airy and Vaughn Draper and wife Barbara, of Pearland, TX and eight grandchildren, Rhonda Crum, Traci Glicer, Jennifer Wheeler, Timothy Draper, Ashley Zimmerman, Aaron Bealer, Lindsey Draper, and Lauren Draper. Nellie also is survived by 16 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Terry Wayne Draper, and siblings, Ray Rohrer, Gladys Rohrer, Mae Main, Irene Rohrer, Grace Brandenburg, Mary Axline and Ralph Rohrer. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m., on Sunday, Dec. 14, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Monday, Dec. 15, at the funeral home. The Rev. Rob Apgar-Taylor, will officiate. Interment will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Middletown.
