Kenneth L. Cramer Sr., 80, passed away peacefully Sunday December 14, 2014 in Denver, North Carolina where he resided with his son, Scott and wife, Sherry. Ken was born in Frederick, Maryland on April 10, 1934 to Harry S. Cramer (Dingy) and Mary Helen Stull Cramer. He was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Nancy Lakel Cramer. He is survived by his four children, Kenneth L. Cramer Jr., Stacey Cramer Jones, Leslee Janel Cramer and Warren Scott Cramer. He is also survived by his sister, Beverly Cramer Kinsey and sister-in-laws, Harriet Mossburg Lakel and Shirley Pearl Lakel. Ken is also survived by six grandchildren, Joshua Cramer, Timothy Cramer, Matthew Cramer, Melissa Pappas, Janel Plunkard and Britanni Cramer. He was blessed with eight great-grandchildren, Gage Cramer, Gavin Cramer, Garrett Cramer, Kylee Cramer, Aubrey Cramer, Jude Stephey, Rogen Stephey and Trenten Bell. Ken served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1955 during the Korean War. Ken loved camping, fishing, crabbing and enjoyed traveling with his wife in their motorhome for years. They spent winters in Florida as snowbirds and traveled the entire east coast from Maine to Florida. The Florida Keys was one of their favorite destinations. Ken was a passionate fan of NASCAR, the Baltimore Orioles and the Baltimore Ravens. Ken had a great sense of humor and enjoyed telling stories of days gone by. He had a knack for making others smile and laugh. There will be a graveside service at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Frederick, Maryland in the spring where his cremains will be buried along with his wife, Nancy's.
