Mr. Robert Terrell Orrence, Sr., 82, of Frederick passed away on December 19, 2014, at the College View Center in Frederick. He was the husband of the late Patricia Boyer Orrence, who died in 2008. Born in Kansas City, KS, on August 4, 1932, he was a son of the late William A. and Mary Wear Orrence. He proudly served his country during the Korean War in the United States Navy. He was a retired electrical engineer for the US Postal Service. Surviving are his six children, Terry Orrence and Pam, of Frederick; David Orrence and Jacky, of Kearnsyville, WV; Karen Orrence, of Frederick; Bill Orrence and Wendy, of Brunswick; Mary Marth and Richard, of Rockville; and Jenny Newman and Ernie, of Damascus; 13 grandchildren: Becky Randall and Dustin, Elizabeth Orrence, Steven Orrence and Caroline, Jeffrey Orrence, Cathleen Orrence, Jessica Coffey, Desiree' Orrence, Patricia Reynolds and Brett, Richard Marth and Katy, Christopher Marth, Andrew Marth and Ashley, Samantha Newman, and Victoria Newman; two great grandchildren: Dalen Randall and Susan Marth, and many nieces and nephews. He will also be remembered by two brothers-in-law, David Boyer, of Big Canoe, GA, and Clifford Ball, of Olathe, KS. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kimberly Orrence, and a sister, Anne Bartlett. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., on Monday, December 29, 2014, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at the funeral home. The Rev. O. F. Kibbe, will officiate. Private interment will be later at the Garrison Forrest Veterans Cemetery, Owings Mills. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
