Joyce Ann Cline

Mrs. Joyce Ann (Davis) Cline, 62, of Frederick went to be with the Lord Saturday, December 27, 2014, at Kline Hospice House, Mt. Airy, MD. She was the wife of David E. Cline. Born August 21, 1952, in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Clarence V. and Ellen I. (Williams) Davis Sr. Joyce was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School in Guam. She was employed at Meritus Health for 35 years and while she was employed was a member of the American Society of Clinical Pathologist. Over the past 10 years, she served in many capacities with the Frederick Church of the Brethren including 5 years with the FCOB Students program. Prior to attending Frederick Church of the Brethren she was a children's Sunday school teacher at Centennial Memorial United Methodist Church for 15 years and had sung in the church's chancel choir. In her spare time, she enjoyed making jewelry for others and attended to her flower gardens. Joyce also enjoyed traveling, but most importantly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters; Amanda E. Lowery and her husband John, Jennifer A. Cline and her fiance Billy Clay, granddaughter; Madelynn E. Lowery, brother; Clarence "Dave" Davis Jr. and his wife Beverly, mother-in-law; Mary E. Cline and the late Earl W. Cline, brother-in-law; Jerry M. Cline and his wife Judi, nephews; Bradley Davis and his wife Erin, Jonathan Cline, and great niece; Lydia Davis. The family would like to thank the staff at Kline Hospice House for all of their loving and compassionate care. Family and friends will be received from 4 to 7pm, on Friday, January 2, 2015 at the Frederick Church of Brethren, 201 Fairview Avenue, Frederick, MD 21701. The funeral service will be held at 9:00AM, on Saturday, January 3, 2015, at the church. Rev. Sandi Evans Rogers will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Frederick County, P.O. Box 1799, Frederick, MD 21702.
