Mr. Harold Dale Taylor, 83, of Frederick, died on Monday, December 29, 2014, at Frederick Memorial Hospital surrounded by family. He was the loving husband of Shirley Fleischman Taylor. On January 9th, they would have been married 61 years. Born in Rosemont on October 6, 1931, he was a son of the late Charles D. and Liddie Alberta Hoar Taylor. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He retired after 43 years at Potomac Edison, where he worked as a meter man. He was a life member of the Independent Hose Company. Surviving in addition to his wife are three daughters, Debra T. Hildebrand and husband Brian, of Walkersville, Dawn M. Crabill and husband Bill, of Frederick and Donna Kay Geldner and husband John, of Middletown, six grandchildren, Brooke N. Shadle (Billy), Nicholas Hildebrand, Megan L. Crabill, Sarah L. Crabill, Ashley T. Geldner and Brianna M. Geldner, two great grandsons, Ayden and Colton Shadle, two nieces, and brother-in-law, Jack Fleischman (Ruby), of Frederick. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., on Sunday, January 4, 2015, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Monday, January 5, 2015, at the funeral home. The Rev. Tim May, will officiate Interment will be in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
