Mr. Harold Bernard Stull, 84, of Yellow Springs, Maryland, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at the Glade Valley Center, Walkersville. He was the husband of the late Ruth Irene Jones Stull, who died on October 29, 1990. Born in Yellow Springs on April 1, 1930, he was the son of the late Bernard and Ava Linton Stull. Mr. Stull was a graduate of Frederick High School Class of 1947. He was retired from the Federal Government where he had worked as a Research Scientist, at Fort Detrick, NIH and the Washington, D.C., Veterans Center. He was a member of the Frederick Elks Lodge and NARFE. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, enjoyed dancing and picking mushrooms. Surviving are his children, Douglas H. Stull and wife Susan, of Hagerstown, and Marjorie L. Stull, of Frederick, sister, Ava Janet Rippeon and husband Clifford, of Yellow Springs, five grandchildren, Matthew Stull and Mary, Heather Merson and finance Chris Williams, Holly Ridenour and Walter, Dustin Sensenig, April Wasserleben and Terry, great grandchildren, Angel Stull, Mattie Stull, Aidan Merson and Avariella Merson, one niece, Lisa Kehl and husband Dean. He will also be missed by a special friend, Patsy Twenty. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m., on Sunday, January 4, 2015, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Monday, January 5, 2015, from the funeral home. The Rev. Gregory Shook, will officiate. Interment will be in the Mt. Prospect Church Cemetery, Lewistown. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Trinity Lutheran Church, 15 Randolph Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21740.
