Ben Wright

June 16, 1948 — January 8, 2015

Coach Ben Wright, beloved brother, mentor and friend, went to his eternal rest on January 8, 2015 in Manassas, VA. Ben provided inspiration, leadership and guidance to generations of young men and women and will be fondly remembered by the thousands whose lives he influenced. Ben is survived by his mother Lois, brothers Tom, Jim, Richard and sister Carol; by sisters-in-law Margaret and Claudia and brother-in-law Rene; as well as by nieces Amanda and Morgan, nephew Damian (wife Trish) and grand-niece, Annabelle. Friends may call at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701 on Saturday, January 17th from 2 to 7 pm. Memorial services will be held at 3pm on Sunday, January 18 from the Bethesda United Methodist Church, 11901 Bethesda Church Rd., Damascus, MD 20872, with his pastor, the Rev. Dr. Henry G. Butler, officiating. Interment will be in the Bethesda United Methodist Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Thomas Johnson HS Patriots Boosters, Inc.
