Mary Ruth Seabolt Scott

Mary Ruth Seabolt Scott, age 71 of Martinsburg, WV, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 4, 2015. She was born in London Ohio on October 10, 1943 was a lifelong Maryland resident. She was the daughter of the late Albert Jones and the late Mae Davis Jones. Mary was a longtime Denny's employee and trained employees countrywide. She was avid bingo player and a slots enthusiast. A longtime devoted Redskins, Nascar, Orioles and Trace Adkins fan. She became a master genealogist, and in the process had reconnected with many lost family members. She was the wife of John T. Scott and the loving mother of Marty Seabolt, Veronica Seabolt Hodges (George) Debi Cissel (Mary) and James L. Seabolt, Jr. (Carlyle). She was also the stepmother of Keith Scott and Laura Schisler. Mary is also survived by grandchildren, Michele, Steven, Eliza, Jamie, Jessi, Morganne, Dylan, Chrissy and Brandon, Deven, Tia, Eric, Montana, Taylor, Rachel and Jake, 10 great-grandchildren and one due in August of 2015. Many also left to cherish her memory, numerous nieces, nephews, and very devoted friends, Jeny Gray Bowens and Bernie Warzynak. Mary was predeased by her first husband James L. Seabolt, Sr., a son David K. Seabolt, a daughter, Rozene Brigham, a grandson, PFC David M. Cissel and daughter-in-law Cynthia M. Seabolt. Friends will be received on Saturday, February 7, from 10 am to 1pm in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, 515 S. Market St., Frederick, where a service will be held at 1pm. Rev. Timothy May will officiate. The burial will follow in the cemetery.
