Paul William "Andy" Anders, Jr, 62, of Sharpsburg, formerly of Wolfsville and Frederick, died on Wednesday, February 4, 2015. He was the husband of Cheryl L. Hann Anders. They celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on January 17th. Born April 26, 1952, in Frederick, Paul was the son of Margaret V. Morgan Anders and the late Paul William Anders, Sr. He was a 1970 graduate of Gov. Thomas Johnson High School. He served in the Army National Guard from 1971 until 1977. Paul worked for his father-in-law for many years and later owned and operated the business as Anders 40 West Amoco. As an employee of Cindell Construction, his most recent affiliation was with CCS, Inc. Mr. Anders was a life member of the Independent Hose Company, Frederick; and a member of the Wolfsville Volunteer Fire Company, where he was an active volunteer and served as Captain. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Paul was actively involved in their activities. He was a coach for Little League Baseball for his children and as a grandfather he took great pleasure as a spectator for his grandchildren. He loved sports, especially baseball and was a member of the Federal Little League Association. Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by four children, Tracey D. Anders, Brian S. Anders, both of Sharpsburg; Kristy D. Anders-Foltz, Daryl P. Anders, Sr. and wife Brenda, all of Hagerstown; eight grandchildren, Kristina "Noelle" Anders, Austin W. Foltz, Hannah R. Foltz, Brooke J. Anders, Daryl P. Anders, Jr, Piper M. Anders, and two on the way including "Pauley" L. Anders. He is also survived by three sisters, Shirley Clabaugh, of Frederick, M. Ann Fisher and husband, Donald of South Carolina and Lisa Anders, of Frederick, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Paul William Anders, III. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9pm on Tuesday, February 10 at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E Church Street, where funeral services will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, February 11. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the savings account at any BB&T Branch in the name of Cheryl L. Anders.
