Mr. Keith Eugene Mobley, 72, of Frederick, died Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at his residence surrounded by his loving family, following a three month stay at Glade Valley Health Center. He was the husband of Diana (Amorello) Mobley for 46 years. They were married on October 19, 1968. Born December 5, 1942 in Frederick, he was the son of the late Paul Eugene and Julia Estella (Snyder) Mobley. Keith graduated from Frederick High School, Class of 1961, and then served in the US Air Force from 1962 to 1966. He was stationed in Guam, California, Texas, Japan and Massachusetts. Following his military service, he was an optician for 17 years and worked as a computer surveillance technician for USAMRIID at Ft. Detrick for 23 years. Keith was a life long member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church. He enjoyed photography, coin collecting, metal detecting, working outside and spending time with his family and pet cats, Grettle and Muffin. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Kelli Lynn Paugh and husband Robert and Anjanette Marie Bladen and husband Aaron, grandchildren, Luke Paugh, Owen Paugh, Bryce Bladen and Sophia Bladen, sister-in-laws, Patricia Amorello Garst and husband Charles and Phyllis Amorello Schilling and husband Donald, mother-in-law, Gwendolyn (Amorello) Tressler and husband Sherman, five nieces and one nephew. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm, on Monday, February 16, 2015, at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701. The funeral service will be held at 1:00PM, on Tuesday, February 17, 2015, in the Etchison Memorial Chapel, at the funeral home. Rev. Dr. Robert Driver-Bishop will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rob Paugh, Aaron Bladen, Donald Schilling, Charles Garst, William Woodcock, Robert Honeycutt and Wayne Freed. The grandchilden will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family would like to thank the staff of Glade Valley Health Center and Hospice of Frederick Co. for their support and compassionate care.
