Elizabeth Waldron Mcshea

Mrs. Elizabeth Waldron "Betty" McShea, 82, of Frederick, MD, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2015, at the Buckingham's Choice Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late John Francis "Jack" McShea, Jr., who died on February 20, 2013. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, on March 9, 1932, she was a daughter of the late David and Collette Bell Waldron. Mrs. McShea's family moved to Silver Spring, MD, when she was two years old. She is a graduate of The Academy of the Holy Name in Silver Spring, and Immaculata Junior College in Washington, D.C. She and her husband, Jack, settled in Rockville, MD, where she was a homemaker and raised four children. She is a member of St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church. Surviving are her four children Jack McShea and wife Mary Fran, Judy McShea, Tim McShea and wife Carole, all of Frederick, Dave McShea and wife Sophia, of Seattle, WA, nine grandchildren, Kate Layman and husband Joel, Joe McShea, Annie McShea, Molly McShea, Brian McShea, Olivia McShea, Kevin McShea, Isabella McShea and John McShea, one great grandson, Ryan Layman, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings, Ronayne Waldron, Sally Waldron, Aletha Goetzger and David "Doonie" Waldron. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m., on Tuesday, February 17, 2015, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:15 a.m., on Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 118 East Second Street, Frederick. The celebrant will be Rev. Keith Boisvert. Interment will follow in the St. John's Cemetery, Frederick. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. Katharine Drexel, Building Fund, 8428 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702 Online condolences may be shared atkeeneybasford.com.
