Nancy Ward Cooley

Mrs. Nancy Ward Cooley, 80, of Barnesville, died Sunday, March 1, 2015, at Montgomery Village Health Care Center, Gaithersburg. She was the wife of Ralph E. Cooley, Jr. They were married on Nov. 6, 1953. Born July 8, 1934, in Comus, she was the daughter of the late Carson and Dorothy (Spring) Ward. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Michelle Vasko and husband Stephen, son, Gary Cooley and wife Susan, sisters, Doris Unglesbee and husband Dorsey, Connie Scoggins and Katherine "Kitty" Cooley and husband Charles "Jack". She was preceded in death by her sister, Olga Horner. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm, on Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701. The funeral service will be held at 11:00AM, on Thursday, March 5, 2015, at the Barnesville Baptist Church, 17917 Barnesville Road, Barnesville, MD 20838. Rev. Randy Gilliam will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frederick. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Barnesville Baptist Church, P.O.
