Mrs. Iris Jeanette Korrell. 86, of Frederick, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, March 9, 2015, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Charles L. Korrell, who died February 10, 1998. Born in Wilmington, North Carolina, on August 24, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Adelaide Bertha Honeycutt Kelley. Mrs. Korrell had worked at the F & M Bank in Frederick for 19 years. She was a chartered member of the Shookstown Civic Association, and a member of the First Baptist Church, the Yellow Springs Lions Club,where she was honored with the Melvin Jones award, the auxiliary to the Francis Scott Key American Legion and she was a volunteer for Hospice and bingo at the Citizens Nursing Home. Surviving are her children, Terry E. Korrell and wife Jeanne, of Venice, FL, Deborah Ann Culler, of Frederick, Charles W. Korrell, of Walkersville, Lisa J. Wolfe and husband Tom, of Smithsburg and Sonya K. Hewitt and husband Curtis, of Thurmont, 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter Patricia Lynn and son Ricky L. Korrell, and son-in-law, R. Allen Culler. She will be sadly missed by her loving care givers, Karen Holstein and Lisa Fay.. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m., on Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., on Thursday, March 12, 2015, in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. Private interment will be in the Rocky Springs Cemetery, Frederick.
