Myrtle Elizabeth Clary

Mrs. Myrtle Elizabeth Wright Clary, 91, of Jefferson, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2015, at her home. She was the wife of the late Jesse Monroe Clary, Sr., who died February 17, 2003. They had been married for over 61 years. Born in Jefferson on November 18, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Robert George and Lena Elizabeth Brown Wright. Myrtle was a homemaker and farmer's wife for most of her life. She was an avid gardener and love working with her flowers. She was a member of the Jefferson United Methodist Church and at one time was an active volunteer with the Jefferson Ruritian Club. Surviving are her children, Margaret Ann "Peg" Arnold and husband Tom, of Jefferson and Jesse M. Clary, Jr., and wife Rebecca, of Keedysville, sister, Annabelle C. Burgee, of Jefferson, son-in-law, Dale W. Bidle, of Myersville, two sister-in-laws, Reba Wright, of Wolfsville and Elaine Walters, of Frederick, grandchildren, Bryan Wiles and Patricia, Michael Clary and Tara, Stephanie Riley, George R. Clary, Jr., and Danielle, Christopher Clary, and Robert W. Clary, Jr., and Myesha, great grandchildren, Jacob and Cody Wiles, Jesse Clary, Brooke and Devon Riley, Erika and Andrew Clary, Ryan and Cameron Clary, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons, George R. Clary, Sr., and Robert W. Clary, Sr., one daughter, Carolyn E. Bidle, three brothers, Walter R. Wright, Russell G. Wright, John H. Wright, one sister, June A. Ott, and a grandson, Derek Riley. Her family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Hospice and all their staff. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m., on Sunday, March 15, 2015, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Monday, March 16, 2015, from the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. Interment will be in the Reformed Cemetery, Jefferson. Pallbearers will be; Bryan Wiles, Mike Clary, Bub Clary, Robby Clary, Chris Clary, Devon Riley and Jesse Clary. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Frederick County, P. O. Box 1799, Frederick, MD 21702. Online condolences may be shared at keeneybasford.com.
