Jennifer Colleen O'Brien Leach, 36, found peace and eternal life with her Heavenly Father on Monday, March 16, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her two daughters, Anne-Sophie, 9, and Juliette, 6, father Raymond, mother Judith, brothers Jonathan and Jason, sisters-in-law Sara and Tara, husband Tim, and special partner Nyl. Jennifer was born in Philadelphia, and graduated from Council Rock High School in 1996. She went on to attend Fordham University in New York, where she studied abroad in France for a year. After graduating from college in 2000, Jennifer worked as a professor teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) until her first daughter was born in 2005. In the years that followed, Jennifer devoted herself to raising her two beautiful, smart, and caring daughters. She returned to teaching in 2013, when she began working part time at a private school in Washington, DC, and as an adjunct professor of Frederick Community College's ESL program. Jennifer's faith, grace, and love of life have been an inspiration to all whose lives she touched. Her quick wit and sense of humor could be seen in everything she didwhether spending time with friends and family, supporting her community, or traveling the world. Indeed, Jennifer's smile lit up every room as she lived "la belle vie" to its fullest. She will be deeply and profoundly missed by all. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 20 from 1 to 3 PM and 6 to 8 PM at Keeney and Basford PA Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 21 at 11:00 AM at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 9201A Church Street, Libertytown, MD 21791, followed by a luncheon. Final disposition and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (www.bcrfcure.org) in Jennifer's honor.
