Frances Jean Kaslick, 84, of Frederick, Maryland, died Monday, March 16, 2015. She was the widow of William F. (Bill) Kaslick, her high school sweetheart. Frances was born March 28, 1930 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was the sixth of eight children born to the late Frank and Mary (Lehmann) Lahey. Frances was a tireless and devoted homemaker, a skilled legal secretary, an ardent feminist and a lover of the Great American Songbook. Till the end of her life, she maintained a kind spirit, a sharp wit and an open heart. Frances is survived by her daughter, Mary Elizabeth (Mary Beth) Kaslick and her husband, William Buckley of Frederick; grandchildren Samantha Ann McCarthy, Robert Kaslick, Max Kaslick and Grace Buckley; sister Jacqueline Kremer, brother Frank Lahey; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and "surrogate" daughter, Kathleen Boozang. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her beloved son, William F. Kaslick, Jr., her sisters, Rita Reddy, Mary Margaret Farrah, Theresa Serati, Lucille Oertig and Patricia Knezevich. The family will receive visitors at Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick, on Thursday, March 19, 2015 from 5 - 7:30 p.m. A celebration of her life will be held at 10 a.m., on Friday, March 20, 2015 at the funeral home.
