Mrs. Barbara Ellen (Knippenburg) Bowers, 68, of Frederick, died Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Warren F. "Steelman" Bowers, who preceded her in death in 2012. Born July 4, 1946, in Cumberland, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late William E. Knippenburg and Esta (Bosley) Davis. Barb is survived by her daughters, Tammy Bowers and Amy Edwards and husband Curtis, grandchildren, Tevin Edwards, Aiden Seraton and Ava Seraton, sister, Kathy Cornwell and husband Rich, aunt, Geraldine Hudson, numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Amaya Seraton and friend, Dorothy Burke. A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM, Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Peace in Christ Lutheran Church, 8798 Adventure Avenue, Walkersville, MD 21793. Rev. Dave Weber will officiate.
