John Charles Webb

Mr. John Charles Webb, 48, of Point of Rocks, died Monday, April 27, 2015 at his residence. Born August 22, 1966, in Frederick, MD, he was the son of Karen (Wolfe) Webb and the late James Webb. John grew up in Tuscarora and Point of Rocks. He attained the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scout Troop 279. In 1983, John graduated from Frederick High School and then briefly served in the USMC but was injured during training and was discharged. After completing trade school, he became a Master Heat Pump Specialist. He worked for various Heat Pump suppliers in the area and also worked for his uncle in Massachusetts for a short time. After he suffered a severe back injury on the job, he became dependent on pain killers and narcotics. He was able to win several battles of his addiction and receive a six month award of sobriety but was unable to win the final battle. In addition to his mother, John is survived by his son, Jacob Webb, daughter, Haileigh Webb, sister, Jennifer Sidelinger and husband Charles, nephew, James Sidelinger, sister, Julie Bell and husband Michael, cousins, Aaron Webb and Kenny Webb, aunts, Shirley Cordwell and Vivian Pugh, uncle, Bob Wolfe and many cousins in the Wolfe family. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his uncles, Wayne Wolfe, Harry Wolfe, Dennis Wolfe, Donald Wolfe and Jack Wolfe. A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM, on Saturday, May 2, 2015, at the Luke Building (Emmanuel Trinity Lutheran Church), 1519 Ballenger Creek Pike, Point of Rocks, MD. Rev. Andy Carr will officiate. Inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Community Foundation of Frederick County (c/o James Webb scholarship fund), 312 E.
