John William Frank

Mr. John William Frank, 86, of Chambersburg, formerly of Frederick, died on May 1. He was born on April 16, 1929 and was the husband of Ann Elizabeth (Miller) Frank, whom he married on June 21, 1986. Mr. Frank worked at Fort Detrick, and later at Fort Ritchie, where he retired in 1986. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Chambersburg. In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons James William Frank and his fiance Su Chaichompoo and Robert Thomas Frank and Tammy Kay, grandchildren Robert, Joshua, Ian, Chelsea and Chase and 3 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a cousin, Mae Parr of Kings Island, NY, 2 special sister-in-laws Shirley Blentlinger and her husband Jerry and Connie Richardson. John is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Mr. Frank was preceded in death by son John P. Frank and daughter-in-law Cathy Frank. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 5 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Keeney and Basford PA Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 6 at 11:00 AM in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
