Gladys M. Dwiggins

January 14, 1936 — May 2, 2015

Mrs. Gladys M. Dwiggins, age 79, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 2, 2015 after battling lung cancer. Born on January 14, 1936 in Schenectady, New York to the late Howard Schell and Viola Cleveland. She was best known for her firey red hair and her very honest opinions. She was the beloved wife of the late James (Jay) H. Dwiggins, Jr. She is survived by her two daughters: Terry Lynn Dwiggins and Tina Lynn Dwiggins and her two grandsons: Roger D. Mayo, Jr., and Russell T. Lockwood and many extended family and friends. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 7, 2015 from 3-5 & 7-9 PM at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick. There will be a brief service at 8 PM. The interment will be private at the Crownsville Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville, MD. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Mrs. Dwiggins' name to the American Cancer Society, 1393 Progress Way, Suite 908, Eldersburg, MD 21784, or to ASPCA, Attention Gift Processing Center, PO Box 96929, Washington DC, 20077-7127.
