Stephanie Therese Gorsky

September 29, 1980 — May 3, 2015

Stephanie Therese Gorsky, 34, of Frederick, MD, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at her home. She was born on September 29, 1980 in Silver Spring, she is the daughter Edward and Cheryl Gorsky. Stephanie attended Bowie High School and graduated with two Associates degrees from Anne Arundel Community College and Frederick Community College. She most recently worked for Bechtel Company as an Intern in Auto-CAD Drafting (electrical). Stephanie enjoyed playing sports, specifically, softball and soccer. She loved all genres of music and was a talented singer and musician, particularly the piano. Stephanie was known as a defender of the weak, especially children with special needs, the elderly and homeless animals. In addition to her parents she is survived by her four siblings, Steven Edward Gorsky, Edward Alexander Gorsky, Emily Elizabeth Gorsky and Carolyn Rose Gorsky. She is also survived by her beloved niece, Julianna Elizabeth Gorsky. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am on Thursday, May 7 at Saint John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 118 E. 2nd Street. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Silver Spring. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Stephanie's memory to St. Johns Regional Catholic School or St. Katherine Drexel Church Building Fund.
