Anna Margaret G. Beers

Anna Margaret Gaither Beers, "Anne," age 96, died on Sunday, may 10, 2015 at Homewood at Crumland Farms. She was born in Frederick in 1918 into a deep-rooted Frederick family; and lived on Elm Street until she married Peter W. Beers in 1942. With her family, they traveled and lived extensively overseas for many years until her husband and she returned to Frederick in their retirement. Anne was very active in sports, playing a wicked game of tennis, a fine game of golf; and loved dancing to live music with Peter. She enjoyed her friends in her bridge groups, traveling abroad and at home; and being with her family. She is survived by her daughters, Anne Beers Whitman, Largo, FL; and Margaret Beers Evans, Frederick; grandsons Christopher Sessums, Brian Evans and Harris Evans; and great grandchildren, Zoe and Sam Sessums. No services are planned at this time. Arrangements by the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, Frederick.
