Margaret Ada Smith Wolfe, age 99, residing at the Glade Valley Genesis Home in Walkersville, MD, passed away on June 8, 2015. She was the wife of Clarence C. Wolfe, Sr, who passed away on July 19, 1996. Born on August 24, 1915 in Jefferson, MD, she was the daughter of the late Harman Russell and Ida Helena Lewis Smith. Mrs. Wolfe was a homemaker and dairy farmed with her husband in Middletown and Walkersville, MD for many years. After retirement, they enjoyed going to auctions and collecting White House Vinegar jugs and Stottlemeyer rocking chairs. She enjoyed working on puzzles and playing cards with her family. She also enjoyed special occasion trips to Hollywood Casino in Charles Town. Mrs. Wolfe was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Jefferson, MD. Surviving are her four children, Victor E. Wolfe of Jefferson; Joyce E. Wolfe Lewis and husband Gene C. Lewis of Myersville; Patsy LaRue Wolfe of Phoenix, Arizona; and Clarence C. Wolfe, Jr. and wife Martha Anne Stone Wolfe of Walkersville; grandchildren are Gary Gene Lewis of Middletown, MD, Shari Jean Lewis Kinna of Myersville; Monica Lee Wolfe Houser of Knoxville; Victor E. Wolfe, Jr. of Washington state, Michael Lee Wolfe and wife Aran of Walkersville, Denise Anne Wolfe Allen and husband Robert of Walkersville. She is also survived by her 12 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. She has one living brother, Edward V. Smith of Jefferson and was preceded in death by four brothers, Russell I. Smith, George S. Smith, Earl H. Smith and Wilbur N. Smith and two sisters, Ida Cornelia Lantz and Maude T. Stine. Friends will be received on Thursday, June 11, 2015 from 9-10 AM at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick where services will begin in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home at 10 AM. Rev. Katrina Holland will officiate. The interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
