James Luther Ingram, Jr.

Mr. James L. Ingram Jr., 73, of Jefferson, died Tuesday, June 9, 2015. He was the husband of Beverly Jones Ingram, whom he married in Dec. 1964. Born January 17, 1942 in Jefferson, he was the son of the late James L. and Ruth (Stockman) Ingram Sr. Mr. Ingram was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. He graduated from from Frederick High School Class of 1960. James was a member of the US Air Force, serving with the Virginia Air National Guard. He and his brother, Dick, opened and operated Phillips 66 Service Center in Jefferson, in May of 1967. After an accident in 1968, left him unable to work, he remained at home with his family. The last 3 years, he spent at nursing homes. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Kimberly Murray and Jamison Baker, brother, Richard Ingram and wife Brenda, grandchildren, Jessica Brodnax and husband Will, Aaron Pettitt, Heather Pettitt, Robert Baker III, Jenna Baker and Megan Murray, great-granddaughters, Tandra Brodnax, Isabella Franklin and Jayla Young, all of Jefferson. The funeral service will be held at 2:00PM, on Friday, June 12, 2015, at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701. Rev. Katrina Holland will officiate. Interment will follow at Jefferson Lutheran Cemetery, Jefferson. Online condolences may be shared at www.keeneybasford.com
